On August 9, Air China announced that it would resume direct flights between Shanghai Pudong and London Heathrow from August 13.

China Eastern Airlines also announced that it will resume the Shanghai Pudong-London Heathrow MU551 passenger international flight on August 12 and August 19, 2022, which is now open for sales.
The Paper reporter learned from China Southern Airlines on August 11 that China Southern Airlines plans to resume the Guangzhou-London route from August 17, 2022, with one round trip per week, operated by Boeing 787 aircraft.
It is understood that the outbound flight CZ303 of this route takes off from Guangzhou Baiyun Airport at 01:45 am every Wednesday and arrives at London Heathrow Airport at 06:20 local time.
The return flight CZ304 takes off from London Heathrow Airport at 10:45 local time and arrives at Guangzhou Baiyun Airport at 05:35 Beijing time the next day.
According to the relevant person in charge of China Southern Airlines, in the initial stage of the resumption of the flight, the Guangzhou-London segment will normally carry passengers, while the London-Guangzhou segment will not carry passengers for the time being. Later, this segment will resume passenger carriage. The actual implementation is subject to the announcement on the official website of China Southern Airlines.
On August 11, the surging news reporter learned from Hainan Airlines that the Qingdao-London route of Hainan Airlines' Capital Airlines will also restart on August 19.
