She explained that, according to preliminary data for the month of July 2022, hotel occupancy in Dubai recorded 61%, noting that the average daily price of a room amounted to 434.78 dirhams, while revenues for each available room amounted to 265 dirhams.

During the first half of this year, Dubai received more than 7.1 million international visitors, which represents an increase of 183% over 2021 levels.

The sector also recorded an increase in hotel room capacity by more than 19%, compared to the same period in 2019, which confirms the importance of the rates recorded this year.

The number of hotel rooms until the end of June 2022 amounted to about 140,778 hotel rooms, distributed among 773 hotel establishments, compared to 118,345 rooms in 714 facilities in the same period in 2019.

The performance of the hotel sector in Dubai, during the current year, has outperformed at all levels recorded before the “Covid-19” pandemic in terms of the number of hotel nights booked, as the total number of hotel nights booked in hotel establishments in the emirate reached 18.47 million nights during the first half of the year, This represents an annual increase of more than 30.4%, and an increase of more than 18% compared to the levels recorded in the same period in 2019, which amounted to 15.71 million nights.
