This newspaper, Beijing, August 9 (Reporter Yang Zhaokui) Some criminals claim to give away game equipment for free, and then defraud minors of money through "activation fees, certification fees, and verification fees"; some join the "star fan QQ group" As a bait, they claim that they can receive gifts or celebrity signatures after completing the task, and induce minors to transfer money or swipe bills; some seriously endanger the physical and mental health of minors... A reporter from "Worker Daily" recently found that the "magic claws" of telecom fraud are spreading. to minors.

Some criminals take advantage of the psychology of minors who like to play games and buy equipment, and defraud minors on the grounds that game equipment is received for free.

In March, when a 12-year-old Ma from Chongqing was watching a short video on Kuaishou, he saw the information about free game equipment, so he joined a QQ group according to the prompt, and received game equipment under the guidance of customer service.

Subsequently, the customer service asked Ma to transfer the account to unblock the account on the grounds that his account was frozen.

Ma transferred 5 transfers totaling 4,300 yuan, and later found out that he had been deceived.

In May, a 12-year-old Wu from Hainan used his mother's mobile phone to log in to a QQ group and saw that someone was giving out game skins for free. Wu added the other party as a QQ friend, and the other party sent him a QR code to receive it.

I thought it would be fine after I got the skin, but I didn't expect the other party to tell Wu that there was illegal collection of his account, and he needed to contact the backstage staff to deal with it, otherwise he would have to pay 100,000 yuan and be sentenced to 1 year in prison.

Wu Mou was very scared, added another QQ account of the other party, and scanned the QR code to pay 6,500 yuan according to the other party's voice prompt.

There are also criminals who use the psychology of minors to chase stars to commit fraud.

In June, Wang Mou, an 11-year-old from Henan, saw a push message in a QQ group of star fans, saying that he could enter a certain QQ group for free lottery draws and receive red envelopes, and Wang Mou applied to join the QQ group.

Soon, the staff in the group told Wang that he had won the first prize, a bonus of 6,000 yuan, and was signed by a certain star, but he had to complete the task before receiving the award.

According to the instructions of the staff, Wang sent red envelopes 8 times in the QQ group, and was defrauded of more than 5,000 yuan in total.

The reporter learned today from the Cyberspace Administration of China that since the beginning of this year, the office has handled more than 12,000 telecommunications and internet fraud cases involving minors.

In response to the fact that minors spend more time online during the summer vacation, the Cyberspace Administration of China, together with the Ministry of Public Security, has thoroughly cleaned up the harmful information related to fraud on the Internet, accurately reminded potential deceived people, and severely cracked down on criminals.

The relevant person in charge of the Cyberspace Administration of China said that the website platform actively fulfilled the main responsibility of information content management and played a role in handling fraudulent and harmful information.

At the same time, some website platforms still have problems such as inadequate awareness of responsibilities and imperfect institutional mechanisms.

QQ, Kuaishou and other social platforms and short video platforms should implement information content management requirements, continue to investigate and deal with fraudulent information, group circles, and accounts; establish and improve account monitoring and early warning mechanisms, detect and deal with abnormal accounts in a timely manner, and implement a real-name registration system for accounts; Establish and improve the fraud reporting mechanism, timely handle and feedback fraud reporting by netizens; conduct security assessments on existing applications, businesses, and technologies, and rectify those that do not meet the requirements.

If the relevant enterprises fail to perform their risk control responsibilities and cause the masses to be deceived, they will be held accountable in accordance with the law.
