The average noise level was 5.7 dB.

This means that a floor that is 'failed' when measured with a bang machine can be turned into 'pass' when measured with an impact ball.

The bang machine gives a shock of 420 kg at a moment similar to running a human, but the impact ball is 180 kg, which is less than half of what happens.
