Deflation in Russia for the week amounted to 0.14%

“For the period from July 23 to August 1, 2022, the consumer price index, according to Rosstat, amounted to 99.86%, from the beginning of August - 99.98%, from the beginning of the year - 111.16%,” the statement says.

According to the statistical agency, during the reporting period, fruit and vegetable products fell in price by an average of 3.9%.

In June, the head of the Ministry of Economic Development, Maxim Reshetnikov, said that Russia was slipping into a deflationary spiral.
