As reported on the X5 website, the relevant petitions will be sent to the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) of Russia.
X5 Retail Group will acquire controlling interests in the capitals of both groups of companies, as a result of which 70% stakes in the Krasny Yar and Slata businesses will be transferred to X5.
At the same time, both chains will continue to operate under their own brands while maintaining operational processes.
Previously, X5 Group merged the Pyaterochka and Perekrestok loyalty programs into one under the new name X5 Club.
