The automotive group has teamed up with the South Korean space agency to develop a vehicle to explore the lunar surface.

South Korea is indeed planning to join the new “space race” initiated by the United States.

The USA plans to send men to the Moon within one to three years, via the private companies SpaceX (Tesla) and BlueOrigin (Amazon).

But that's not all: China and Japan also intend to leave their mark on our natural satellite.

Hyundai and Kia will rely on a network of partners to develop this vehicle which will be subjected to the dust and extreme conditions of the Moon.

The company will benefit in particular from the know-how of Boston Dynamics, a company specializing in the development of robots, which it acquired in 2021.
