Regarding Hyundai Motor's first compact sport utility vehicle (SUV) Casper, consumers are continuing to report defects, claiming that the vehicle vibrates when the heated rear windshield is turned on while the air conditioner is turned on.

As of the 29th, 94 cases of Casper defects related to this phenomenon have been received by the Automobile Recall Center under the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.

It is known that the Automobile Recall Center has not yet launched an investigation into manufacturing defects and is in the process of monitoring the reports of defects received.

Since last month, the Casper Online Club has posted dozens of posts saying, 'The car vibrates when the air conditioner is turned on'.

Some car owners said, "If you put the gear to D (drive) and wait for a signal while driving with the air conditioner and rear windshield heated, the vehicle vibrates back and forth like riding a horse."

A Hyundai Motor official said, "We are checking the contents of the defect report."

Casper, launched in September last year, is the first fruit of the 'Gwangju-type Jobs' project, which was commissioned by Gwangju Global Motors, a joint venture between Gwangju City and Hyundai Motor Company.

Casper, sold only online, is gaining popularity, with 10,000 units sold within 4 months of launch and 23,200 units sold in the first half of this year alone.
