In the midsummer season, in the crayfish breeding base of the 21st Regiment and 8th Company of Tiemenguan City, the Second Division of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, farmers are rowing boats in the fish pond to salvage crayfish.

Not long ago, the first local crayfish festival was held, where visitors could cook live and participate in a shrimp hooking competition.

Previously, due to the high cost of air transportation of fresh crayfish, the price of seafood products in the Xinjiang market was high, which prompted many places in Xinjiang to explore crayfish "south and north raising".

Since the beginning of summer, the group's night market square has become the home of crayfish. Various flavors of crayfish affect the hearts of diners. Crayfish not only leads a consumer fashion in the local area, but also drives a consumer market.

And just this spring, the first batch of crayfish from the 68th Regiment of the 4th Division of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, located in the Yili Reclamation Area, was caught.

Beside a fish pond in the tenth company of the regiment, baskets of fresh crayfish were bought by the restaurant owner who had been waiting here.

Crayfish have not only succeeded in overwintering practice in Xinjiang, but also reproduced in Xinjiang.

Instead of the Xinjiang farmers who imported crayfish seedlings from the south, they have changed the crayfish from "shrimp in the south" to "prawns in Xinjiang rice fields".

In recent years, the supply of locally produced crayfish has been in short supply after being put into the Xinjiang market, and the number of farmers has increased significantly, which has led to the rapid development of the local crayfish aquaculture industry.
