Before the end of 2022, Beijing will have a total of 750,000 charging ports, which can basically meet the charging needs of citizens and achieve the construction requirements for basic coverage of residential areas in the city.

At the 41st meeting of the Standing Committee of the 15th Municipal People's Congress held yesterday afternoon, a special inquiry was conducted in conjunction with the review of the report of the Law Enforcement Inspection Team of the Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee on the inspection of the implementation of the "Regulations on the Administration of Non-motor Vehicles in Beijing".

  1. How to alleviate the "difficulty charging" of electric bicycles?

250,000 new charging facilities will be added by the end of the year

  Committee member Tao Qinghua asked: The problem of difficult charging of electric bicycles is more prominent. How to make up for the gap between charging piles, charging interfaces and actual needs?

  The Municipal Urban Management Committee replied: 250,000 new charging facilities will be added by the end of this year. As of July 20, 203,200 new electric bicycle charging facilities have been built, which is in line with the 493,400 charging facilities built by the Municipal Fire Rescue Corps by the end of 2021. Adding up the ports, a total of 696,600 electric bicycle charging facilities have been built, and it is expected that the total number of charging ports will reach 750,000 by the end of the year.

The actual vehicle-to-pile ratio in some communities can even reach 2:1 or 1:1.

  Due to the technical update and iteration, it will also focus on promoting safer charging cabinets and power exchange cabinets in areas with relatively dense populations such as core areas, urban-rural junctions, and old communities.

Therefore, it can basically meet the charging needs of citizens and realize the construction requirements of basic coverage of residential quarters in the city.

  2. How to alleviate the "parking difficulty" of shared bicycles during peak hours?

  Committee member Li Wen asked: The electronic fence of shared bicycles is prone to the phenomenon that there is no vacancy during the peak period of vehicle use. How to solve it?

  The Municipal Transportation Commission replied: There are obvious tidal phenomena in shared bicycle riding, and the problem of insufficient parking space is prone to occur during peak hours. Therefore, enterprises are required to reserve some parking space when placing vehicles, and strengthen vehicle transportation during peak hours.

  Track sites are often hot spots for cycling, and the parking areas in each area are basically “should be demarcated” around the site. The station entrance is "hard to find a car".

In order to help citizens find shared bicycle parking areas, the coordinates of 26,600 bicycle parking areas in the city have been pushed to the enterprise client through the municipal supervision platform, and users can find and guide them to nearby parking areas through the APP.

At present, the transportation department has connected with the three major electronic map suppliers of AutoNavi, Baidu and Tencent, and the research shows that the implementation of the non-motor vehicle parking area will be launched soon.
