Starbucks Korea has officially confirmed that formaldehyde, a carcinogen, was detected in the 'Summer Carry Bag', a customer gift.

Starbucks issued a statement and said, "As a result of testing by a national authorized testing institution on the 22nd, an average of 459 mg/kg of formaldehyde was detected in the outer skin of the summer carry bag 'before opening' and an average of 244 mg/kg in the inner skin." Two months after opening, the product showed an average of 271 mg/kg in the outer skin and 22 mg/kg in the endothelium, respectively.”
