“According to the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, in June, GDP decreased by 4.9% year-on-year, in general for the second quarter of 2022 - by 4.0% in annual terms,” RIA Novosti quotes the document.

The decline in the first half of this year compared to the same period in 2021 amounted to 0.5%.

Earlier it was reported that experts from the International Monetary Fund revised their forecast for the prospects for the Russian economy for 2022 and now expect a reduction in the country's GDP by 6%, and not by 8.5%, as previously thought.
