  Among electric vehicle products, many models of the new car-making forces are equipped with panoramic canopies. Although the roofs of models with canopies and sunroofs can protect from sun, they cannot effectively prevent heat.

Therefore, in the case of high temperature, the cooling effect of the air conditioner is very important.

Knowing the car emperor recently announced the test results of new energy vehicles in the summer of 2022, showing that the cabin temperature of 41 new energy vehicles (31 pure electric models and 10 hybrid models) exceeded or approached 50 ℃ after exposure. The car can be cooled to less than 30 ℃ in 30 minutes.

Judging from the comprehensive air conditioning test results, the joint venture brand has excellent cooling effect, and the air conditioning of hybrid vehicles is more prone to problems.

For example, Ideal ONE, BYD Song PLUS DM-i, etc., the power demand of air conditioners increases due to the influence of high temperature, and refrigeration is prone to failure in low power state.

  Most of the vehicles will not have obvious problems after exposure to the sun, and the car machine, air conditioner and interior parts can work normally, but there are still some models that have an abnormality after exposure: BYD Yuan PLUS EV has a car machine crash after exposure, When the wiper turn signal fails, the Hiphi X has the problem of bulging on the surface of the wireless charging board after exposure to the sun.

  In addition, under high temperature conditions, the cruising range of electric vehicles has also begun to be discounted.

The above test results show that the overall battery life achievement rate of pure electric vehicles is 66% under the condition of nearly 50 ℃, and the overall energy consumption is increased by 8.6% due to the influence of high temperature.

It is worth noting that the achievement rate of new energy vehicles in normal weather is 74%, and only 47% under severe cold conditions in winter.

That is to say, under the high temperature conditions in summer, although the cruising range of electric vehicles is affected, the degree of impact is generally lower than that in the severe cold in winter.

  "From the battery's point of view, whether it is an active material or an inert material, there is a certain limit to the temperature tolerance. In addition, in the actual use of electric vehicles, in the high temperature environment in summer, the air conditioner used in the car is used. It is more frequent, which will also accelerate the decay of battery power. From a technical point of view, this problem will gradually improve with the evolution of some major technical routes of battery materials and the improvement of material properties." The energy consumption of air conditioners in an extremely high and low temperature environment seriously restricts the battery life of electric vehicles.

  However, different electric vehicle products have different cruising range performance under high temperature conditions, and the cruising range of some products is halved.

Among the pure electric models tested under high temperature conditions, BMW IX3 and BMW IX are at the forefront with a cruising rate of over 80%, followed by models with a cruising mileage rate of over 70%, including small ones. Ant and Mercedes EQC.
