The Fed is taking another big interest rate step against inflation. The US central bank is thus maintaining the unusually high pace of tightening its monetary policy, which it already set in the previous month.
To combat the high rate of inflation, the US Federal Reserve has again increased its key interest rate sharply by 0.75 percentage points.
It is now in the range of 2.25 to 2.5 percent, as the Federal Reserve (Fed) announced on Wednesday.
