“The government went into default on Naftogaz Eurobonds... Today, July 26, 2022, the deadline for payments by NJSC Naftogaz to Eurobond holders has expired,” the company said in a Telegram message.
It is noted that the Cabinet of Ministers did not allow the company to fulfill its obligations to holders of Eurobonds.
Earlier, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said that the Ukrainian authorities had asked the US administration to provide the country with "gas lend-lease" for the heating season.
