The Israeli government is intervening to try to avoid too sudden a rise in the price of bread and is opting for a staggered readjustment until next December.

Even so, some types of bread will increase by up to 26%.

And in April 2023, all control of the price of bread will be abandoned.

A delicate situation during an election period.

A gradual increase until April 2023

After several debates, the Israeli government has finally decided to increase the price of bread in stages by December, before a commission decides on the final price of this staple.

In all, the increase will be 10 to 26%.

And in April 2023, the government will no longer have a say in the price of bread.

For Elyaniv this is not the right decision: “

 We have no choice.

Some prices need to be controlled.

This increase right now is a mistake.
