China News Service, Beijing, July 19 (Reporter Li Xiaoyu) The latest data released by the General Administration of Customs of China on the 19th shows that in the first half of the year, Chinese export enterprises applied for the "Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement" (RCEP) certificate of origin and issued a certificate of origin. 266,000 copies of the statement with a value of 97.9 billion yuan (RMB, the same below) can enjoy a tariff reduction of 710 million yuan from the importing country.

  In terms of imports, according to official statistics, in the first half of the year, the value of preferential imports under RCEP was 23.86 billion yuan, and the tariff reduction was 520 million yuan. The main commodities were steel, plastics and their products, machinery and appliances and their parts.

  In order to promote the implementation of RCEP, the General Administration of Customs has issued a series of measures, including optimizing the functions of online application for export certificates of origin, intelligent auditing, and self-service printing; making full use of the RCEP origin liaison mechanism to coordinate 24 batches of export goods worth 4.69 billion yuan Smooth enjoyment; coordinated and facilitated 7 member states to accept the self-printing certificate of origin of Chinese export enterprises, and more than 85% of the RCEP certificate of origin of export enterprises can enjoy this convenience; the goods that have not obtained the certificate of origin due to foreign reasons are guaranteed. After the release, the enterprise will submit a supplementary certificate to enjoy the import of 7.3 billion yuan.

  The General Administration of Customs said that in order to guide enterprises to make full use of the policy dividends, it will guide enterprises that meet the relevant requirements to actively apply for the qualification of an approved exporter; continue to promote the self-printing of certificates of origin; and solve the problems affecting Chinese enterprises to enjoy timely benefits through the RCEP origin implementation contact point. We will continue to strengthen corporate training and policy guidance to help more companies master RCEP tariff concession arrangements and rules of origin.

  RCEP is currently the world's largest free trade zone, covering about 30% of the world's population, 30% of the economy and 30% of foreign trade.

In the first half of this year, the trade volume between China and RCEP member countries increased by 5.6% year-on-year.
