The Egyptian pound touches its lowest level in 5 and a half years against the dollar

Today, Monday, the Egyptian pound recorded its lowest level in five and a half years, after falling by about 0.05 percent during today's trading.

Refinitiv data showed that the Egyptian pound reached the level of 18.91 pounds against the dollar by 0818 GMT today, down from the level of 18.81 recorded on Sunday.

The last time the Egyptian currency touched that level was on January 24, 2017.
