The government has decided to raise the tax on duty-free items up to $600 on entry to $800.

The duty-free limit is set at $600 for 8 years, so there is a need to revise it, and the tourism industry, which is suffering from the prolonged corona virus, should also be helped.

The government is planning to announce these contents together with the tax law revision on the 21st, but it is expected that it will be implemented within this year as only the enforcement rules of the customs law need to be changed without discussion by the National Assembly.
