According to experts, the availability of fuel for the population depends not only on the cost, but also on the level of income of citizens.

Experts have compiled a rating based on the amount of gasoline in liters that residents of different countries can purchase for their average salaries in terms of Russian rubles.

The list was headed by Luxembourg by a wide margin - with an average cost of 95-octane gasoline of 120.8 rubles per liter, a resident of the country can afford to buy more than 2 thousand liters of fuel.

In second place was the UK - the average Briton can buy 1459 liters at a price of 143.7 rubles per liter.

Russia is in 13th place: Russians can buy about 1,057 liters of gasoline with their average monthly salary.

As it turned out, the cheapest 95th gasoline can be purchased in Kazakhstan, and the most expensive fuel will cost Finnish citizens.

Earlier, US President Joe Biden accused Russian leader Vladimir Putin of rising fuel prices and rising food prices, and also urged gas station managers in the United States to reduce the cost of gasoline.

Fox News columnist Douglas Murray said that US residents did not buy into the statements of the American president.

As Putin himself noted, the sanctions and the West's long-term mistakes in the economy caused a wave of global inflation.
