“The agreement is a manifestation of the solidarity of our countries in solving the current problems with the supply of energy resources, in particular gas,” RIA Novosti quotes the Czech minister.

According to him, this will provide an opportunity for some support from the countries of Europe, which are less dependent on Russian energy resources, in relation to other countries.

Sikela noted that Russia provides the Czech Republic with 97% of the gas volumes the country needs.

Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala said earlier that the country's authorities set their main goals in the near future to achieve energy sovereignty of the republic.

Germany announced its readiness, if necessary, to supply gas from its storage facilities to neighboring countries.
