He said that he chose to travel to Jeju Island instead of overseas, but the airfare, rental car, and lodging are not too burdensome.

Currently, you can get a one-way ticket of up to 35,000 won through low-cost airlines, but during the holiday season, the ticket price goes up to 100,000 won for a normal ticket and 200,000 won for an expensive one.



If you are a family of four, you will have to spend around 1 million won on a round-trip ticket.



In addition, from next month, the fuel surcharge for domestic flights will also rise by 2,200 won to exceed 20,000 won.



This is a fourfold increase compared to last February.



Rent-a-car is also currently 27,000 won per day for a mid-size car, but it more than triples during peak season.

In the first half of this year, the number of tourists to Jeju reached 6.82 million, an all-time high.



However, it is pointed out that the heat can quickly cool down when travel expenses soar.
