Yesterday (7th) due to the sweltering heat, it was found that the maximum electricity demand recorded an all-time high.



According to the Korea Power Exchange, the peak demand for electricity soared to 92,990 megawatts as of 5:00 pm yesterday, exceeding the previous record of 92,478 megawatts at 5:00 pm on July 24, 2018.



Power reserve was only 6,726 megawatts, and the supply reserve fell to 7.2%.



Earlier on that day, the peak demand for electricity rose to 91,938 megawatts as of 6:00 pm, surpassing the peak in the summer of last year, ranking second in history.
