“Currently, we see a plan of action from the EU in the event of a disconnection from Russian gas.

At the same time, there is a contract on the Russian side, there are contractual obligations, and they are being fulfilled.

There were no plans to unilaterally cut off gas supplies,” Kulagin stressed.

According to the expert, if we assume what options may be contained in the EU plan, then, as the expert noted, there are not many of them.

According to him, there are no possible suppliers to make a complete replacement of Russian gas.

“There will be problems, how to deal with them?

Decrease in consumption, decrease in temperature in houses and simply physical disconnection of consumers from gas.

Of course, they will try to fill the vaults to the maximum.

We must understand that gas is not just gas.

This is the electricity that is produced from it, this is hot water, this is a raw material for chemical enterprises from which the same nitrogen fertilizers are made - that is, a whole range of issues, ”said the interlocutor of RT.

Earlier, the head of the EC announced the preparation of a plan in case Russia cuts off gas.

Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov noted that the country is fulfilling all its obligations to supply energy resources to Europe.
