Al Tayer stressed that DEWA’s plans for growth are in line with the “Dubai Urban Plan 2040”, “Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050” and “Dubai Carbon Neutrality Strategy 2050”, which aim to provide 100% of Dubai’s energy production capacity from clean energy sources by year 2050.

He pointed out that the total value of the Authority's investments in electricity transmission projects between 2021 and 2024 amounts to 10 billion dirhams;
