The toll reduction system for electric/hydrogen vehicles and trucks will be extended for two more years.

The government has been reducing the highway toll for electric hydrogen vehicles by 50% since September 2017 to reduce fine dust and expand the supply of eco-friendly vehicles.

The reduction and exemption system was originally scheduled to end at the end of this year, but the government changed the enforcement ordinance and decided to extend it until December 2024.

Commercial trucks and construction machinery that travel on the highway from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. the next day are also eligible for toll reductions for two more years.

In the third quarter of this year, the import price of major grains is expected to rise more than now.

The rise in grain import prices, which has been going on for seven quarters since the end of 2020, is expected to stop in the fourth quarter.

The Agricultural Observation Center of the Korea Rural Economic Research Institute has released the 'International Grain July Issue' report containing these forecasts.

According to the report, the import price index for grain in the third quarter of this year is expected to rise 13.4% and 12.5% from the second quarter, respectively, to 184.8 for food and 178.4 for feed.

This index compares the 2015 level to 100 to represent key grain price levels.

The survey cited the fact that the quantity purchased in March and June, when international grain prices peaked after the Russian-Ukrainian war, was introduced into Korea in the third quarter as the reason for the increase in the index in the third quarter.

The number of international passengers exceeded 1 million last month as the sky road, which was closed due to Corona 19, started to open.

This is an increase of 420% compared to June last year, which can be attributed to the lifting of the flight ban time at Incheon International Airport and the expansion of routes by airlines.

Last month was the first time since the COVID-19 outbreak that the number of monthly international passengers exceeded 1 million.
