This time it is Iranian

hackers

who are behind this cyberattack.

The target: around twenty tourist sites.

And the victims, some 300,000 Israelis.

Hacked information includes phone numbers, addresses, credit cards and sensitive medical information.

new episode

The attack was identified by the National Directorate of Cybersecurity in Israel as originating from Iran.

This is a new episode in the cyber war between the two countries.

A few days ago it was one of the biggest steel factories in Iran which was devastated by a fire which would have been caused by this kind of remote attack.

No official Israeli claim but several leaders have hinted that Israel was no stranger to this kind of action.

Main target: the Iranian nuclear program.

High price

In the past, other Israeli sites have been attacked, again by Iranian

hackers

who managed to hack the phone of Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz.

Last Tuesday, outgoing Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett issued a warning.

Anyone attempting a cyberattack against Israel would pay a heavy price.
