In the appeal, the legislator noted that one of the types of support for employees by employers is the provision of material assistance.

At the same time, according to tax legislation, today only 4,000 rubles are exempt from income tax from these funds received during the tax period (calendar year), the parliamentarian specified.

“As measures taken to support citizens in the current economic situation, I ask you to consider the possibility of increasing the tax-exempt amount of material assistance provided by employers to their employees for the tax period up to 15 thousand rubles, while developing a mechanism for monitoring compliance by employers with the rights of employees to wages," the statement said.

Earlier, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov announced the allocation of 8 trillion rubles to support the economy.
