Since the beginning of the project, more than 400 field engineers and 3800 workers have continued to work around the clock to complete the project and implement the planned works quickly and efficiently. These works include re-strengthening and flattening the ground of the central runway of the runway, which is 4,500 meters long, strengthening and expanding the adjacent runways, in addition to replacing more than 4,230 units. From the lights on the runway and the use of technological technologies for air navigation sensors and meteorological equipment, the strengthening of the paving of the entrances and exits of the main runways, the maintenance of sewage infrastructure, in addition to the transfer of the substation of navigational aids, which contributes to enhancing safety standards and increasing the operational capacity of the northern runway.

It is worth noting that Dubai World Central Airport (DWC) has been opened, and the strong infrastructure has benefited from improving the passenger experience and facilitating their journey during the 45-day closure of the northern runway, with more than 1,000 flights per week operated by a number of airlines, including Qatar Airways.
