On June 28, the world's first Suezmax LNG dual-fuel oil tanker built by Guangzhou Shipyard International, a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation, was delivered in Nansha, Guangzhou.

This is also the largest LNG/fuel dual-fuel green ship built in South China.

Suez-type refers to ships with a deadweight tonnage of about 150,000 tons based on the navigable conditions of the Suez Canal.

The Suezmax ship delivered this time was designed in detail by the 708 Research Institute under the China Shipbuilding Corporation. The total length of the ship is about 274 meters, the width is 48 meters, the depth is 23.7 meters, and the service speed is 14.2 knots, which can meet the requirements of fuel and gas modes. Tier III emission standards promulgated by the International Maritime Organization.

It is reported that the ship can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 20%, nitrogen oxide emissions by about 85% and particulate matter and sulfur oxide emissions by about 99% when propelled in LNG mode.

LNG is liquefied natural gas, its main component is methane, and the weight of LNG is only about 45% of the same volume of water.

Using LNG as ship power fuel, the pollutant emission is much lower than using traditional fuel oil, it is an ideal substitute for traditional fuel oil, and it has been widely used in the field of ship power.
