Huge financial gap: statutory health insurance: additional contribution is to increase by 0.3 percentage points in 2023

For the more than 57 million members of statutory health insurance (GKV), the additional contribution will increase significantly in 2023.

Federal Health Minister Karl Lauterbach (SPD) announced on Tuesday an increase in the additional contribution by 0.3 percentage points.

The average additional contribution is currently 1.3 percent.
