The "Census Yearbook" shows that in 2020, the average age of first marriage for men is 29.38 years old and for women it is 27.95 years old.
Compared with previous data, in 2010, the average age of residents at first marriage was 24.89 years old, the average age at first marriage for men was 25.75 years old, and the average age at first marriage for women was 24 years old.
In other words, in 10 years, the average age of first marriage has been pushed back by nearly 4 years.
The Census Yearbook also shows the household and living conditions of the country.
In 2020, there are 465 million households in the country. Among the 31 provinces, Guangdong has the largest number of households, reaching 38.953 million, accounting for 8.4% of the country's total households.
This is followed by Shandong, with 33.916 million households.
Divided by the number of rooms, the number of households with three houses is the largest, at 146 million; the number of households with nine houses is the smallest, at 3.025 million; the number of households with ten or more houses ranks second from last. 6.358 million households.
From the perspective of living area, the per capita living area of family households in my country reached 41.76 square meters, and the average living area of each household reached 111.18 square meters.

In terms of sub-regions, the per capita living area of Beijing urban households is 33.41 square meters, and the average living area of each household reaches 77.64 square meters.

A total of 6 provinces have an average living area of less than 80 square meters, namely Guangdong, Shanghai, Heilongjiang, Beijing, Liaoning, and Jilin. This also shows to a certain extent the problems of tight housing and prominent conflicts between people and housing in big cities.
