“Due to the policy of foreign correspondent banks, the bank is no longer able to make payments to its local partner banks in dollars and euros, which Uralsib Bank notified them in its letter,” the credit institution said.

The bank noted that foreign credit institutions tend to make payments exclusively to their direct partners.

At the same time, this did not affect the payments of Uralsib customers.

Earlier, the head of the Central Bank of Russia, Elvira Nabiullina, said that the regulator is studying the currency commissions of banks.

The Central Bank of Russia called unacceptable the unilateral establishment of commissions by banks for servicing accounts and deposits.
