The Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Pure Health, one of the largest healthcare service providers in the UAE, to join the National Added Value Program.

Under the memorandum of understanding, Pure Health will allocate 10 billion dirhams over the next 10 years to support local purchases, in line with the national strategy for industry, which supports the localization of supply chains, by redirecting larger parts of public spending to the local economy.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, Omar Suwaina Al-Suwaidi, said that signing the memorandum of understanding with Pure Health constitutes a major boost to the “national added value” program, which aims to redirect the largest amount of purchase value of major companies and government agencies to the local economy, through Giving priority to suppliers who invest, manufacture products, and provide local services.

He added: "The program is currently being implemented by 45 government agencies and six national companies, with 5,500 local industrial companies participating in it. During the first year of its implementation at the federal level, it succeeded in redirecting more than 40 billion dirhams to the national economy."

The signing ceremony of the agreement was attended by the Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, and the Minister of State for Public Education and Advanced Technology, Sarah bint Youssef Al Amiri, while it was signed by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, Omar Suwayna Al Suwaidi, and the Managing Director and CEO of Abu Dhabi Ports Group, Captain Mohamed Juma.
