From July 1, 2022, the newly transmitted TV channels of the cable TV network should be high-definition and ultra-high-definition channels. The qualified cable TV network companies can gradually stop transmitting the standard definition channel signals in the cable TV network according to the local actual situation; From January 1, 2023, the newly added set-top boxes in the cable TV network should mainly be ultra-high-definition smart set-top boxes; by the end of 2025, the penetration rate of high-definition and ultra-high-definition set-top boxes in the national cable TV network will increase significantly.
At the same time, continue to promote the process of IPTV high-definition and ultra-high-definition.
From July 1, 2022, qualified IPTV operating service agencies can gradually stop transmitting SD channel signals according to local conditions; from January 1, 2023, all new IPTV set-top boxes shall be standard-compliant ultra-high-definition set-top boxes. ; By the end of 2025, the national IPTV standard-definition channel signals will be basically shut down, and high-definition ultra-high-definition set-top boxes will be fully popularized.
