The Central Bank called unacceptable the unilateral establishment of commissions by banks for servicing accounts

“The regulator considers unacceptable the unilateral establishment of commissions for servicing accounts and deposits,” the report says.

In the opinion of the Bank of Russia, the inclusion of provisions on the unilateral establishment of commissions in existing agreements on bank accounts and deposits violates the rights of consumers. 

Earlier, the head of the Central Bank of Russia, Elvira Nabiullina, said that the regulator is studying the currency commissions of banks.
