The price of diesel rose above 2 euros on average last week in France.

A jump of more than 10 cents was indeed observed compared to the previous week, despite the pump discount of 18 cents put in place by the government.

The price of road diesel sold in France rose above 2 euros on average in France last week, despite the government rebate at the pump of 18 cents, according to figures from the Ministry of Ecological Transition published on Monday.

Diesel thus reached 2.0694 euros per liter on average last week according to the figures closed on Friday, a jump of more than 10 cents compared to the previous week.

Diesel had already passed above this symbolic threshold at the end of March, before falling again in the meantime.
