“We bought oil which today costs us double. On average, it was 1,500 euros per tonne a year ago, and today it is 3,000”, she explained to the microphone by Elisabeth Assayag.

"There is a real impact so we will have price increases in the coming weeks of 20% on crisps. The impact on the selling price of the packet of crisps will be around 20 cents", continued the general manager of Intersnack.

"Ensuring production continuity"

Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, the entire agri-food sector has indeed been affected.

The price of raw materials is soaring, and oil is not spared.

"80% of sunflower seeds come from Russia and Ukraine and we know the situation at the moment. But our first concern was to ensure that we would have sufficient supplies to meet the sales, which are extremely good at the moment and ensure the continuity of production and the marketing of products", insisted Geneviève Louis Hooper.
