Zhongxin Finance, June 10. On the 10th, the Department of Animal and Plant Quarantine of the General Administration of Customs issued a notice on suspending the import of Taiwan grouper into the mainland.

  The notice stated that since last year, mainland customs have repeatedly detected malachite green and crystal violet banned drugs in grouper exported from Taiwan to the mainland, and also detected oxytetracycline exceeding the standard.

In order to prevent risks and protect the health and life safety of consumers, in accordance with the relevant laws, regulations and standards of the mainland, it is hereby decided to suspend the import of grouper from Taiwan to the mainland from June 13, 2022.

  The customs will suspend the acceptance of grouper declarations in Taiwan from June 13, 2022, and will promptly notify relevant enterprises within their jurisdictions of the above situation.
