The UAE is the first in the Arab world to attract foreign investment

The UAE ranked first in the Arab world, among the list of the most attractive countries for foreign direct investment for the year 2021, according to the report of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development "UNCTAD" issued today.

According to the report, the volume of foreign direct investment flows to the country increased from $19.88 billion during 2020, to about $20.7 billion last year, which confirms the country's leading position in attracting foreign investments.

Within the global framework, the report dealt with a set of economic indicators, as the report confirmed the recovery of foreign direct investment flows globally to pre-pandemic levels in 2021, to reach 1.58 trillion dollars, an increase of 64 percent compared to 2020.
