A workshop to encourage Emirati youth to enter the retail and hospitality sectors

Al-Futtaim Group, in cooperation with the Dubai College of Tourism of the Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai, organized a workshop for UAE nationals looking for work on careers in the retail sector.

A statement stated that the workshop came in line with the support and commitment of the "Al-Futtaim Group" to the government's efforts and plans for Emiratisation in the private sector in the UAE.

Al-Futtaim Group provided the participants in the workshop, which was held under the slogan “Here You Can”, with a comprehensive overview of the sector and tools that help them hone their skills, and gave them the opportunity to explore potential jobs within the group’s departments.

Through this workshop, Al-Futtaim Group aims to create a platform for networking and knowledge exchange that will encourage Emirati youth to build a career in the retail and hospitality sectors.

This comes within the pillars of the group's Emiratisation strategy "Synyar", and in support of the great achievements made by the UAE in the field of building a competitive knowledge-based economy.

Hisham Brothers, Director of Human Resources at Al-Futtaim Retail Group, said: “We are committed to helping Emirati nationals develop their professional skills as part of the company’s long-term strategy,” noting that “this step aims to provide an opportunity for Emirati talents.” Those wishing to join the group, to benefit from the training programs that we offer.”

In turn, the Director of the Department of Emiratisation of the Tourism Sector at Dubai College of Tourism, Maryam Al-Muaini, said: “We are pleased to support the (Al-Futtaim Group) initiative, which aims to raise awareness of job opportunities available to Emirati citizens, as part of our continuous efforts to attract Emirati talent and prepare them to reach suitable jobs in key sectors. that supports the process of sustainable economic and tourism development.

She added, "This step reflects the close cooperation between government and private agencies in Dubai, which helps us achieve our goals in promoting Emiratisation rates in the tourism sector."
