The National Development and Reform Commission announced on June 7 the "Work Plan for Counterpart Cooperation in Key Cities in Old Revolutionary Areas" (hereinafter referred to as the "Plan"), which clearly supports the establishment of counterparts between key cities in old revolutionary areas and some cities in the eastern region. The cooperation mechanism will promote the complementary advantages of paired cities, mutual benefit and common development, support the old revolutionary base areas to consolidate and expand the achievements of poverty alleviation, link the promotion of rural revitalization and new-type urbanization, and stimulate endogenous power and development vitality.
The "Plan" proposes five key tasks: inheriting and promoting red culture, linking and promoting rural revitalization and new urbanization, improving infrastructure and basic public services, promoting ecological environmental protection restoration and green and low-carbon development, and jointly building an industrial cooperation platform carrier.
Among them, in terms of "inheriting and promoting red culture", the "Plan" proposes to encourage joint protection and utilization of revolutionary cultural relics, jointly inherit and promote red culture, jointly build a platform for the integrated development of red culture and tourism, and cooperate to promote the high-quality development of red tourism.
Strengthen the protection of red heritage sites and the construction of tourism infrastructure in old revolutionary base areas, create red cultural heritage projects and carriers, carry out research and practice activities with the theme of red cultural heritage in a standardized and orderly manner, and build red tourism destinations.
