Emirates Airlines and South African Airlink activate a codeshare partnership

Emirates Airlines and the South African carrier Airlink have officially announced the activation of their codeshare partnership.

A statement from Emirates Airlines stated that the partnership between the two carriers makes it easier for customers to establish their ideal travel routes, and benefit from smooth connecting flights, and a single booking reference across eight cities in South Africa, through the three Emirates gates in that country: Johannesburg, Cape. Town, Durban.

Emirates Airlines confirmed that booking travel itineraries is now available on the company's website: emirates.com, and through travel agencies and online travel agents.


According to the carrier, Emirates customers currently have the ability to book a wide range of additional flights, including eight destinations from Johannesburg, five destinations from Cape Town and one destination from Durban.

Destinations include: Bloemfontein, Hoedspruit, Port Elizabeth, Kimberley, George, East London, and others.

Emirates Airlines currently operates two daily flights between Dubai and Johannesburg, a daily flight between Dubai and Cape Town, and five flights per week between Dubai and Durban.

The carrier confirmed that it also provides more communication options that provide the best travel experience for customers, and has expanded its reach to 79 regional points in southern Africa, with the activation of the partnership with South African Airways, the codeshare agreement with Airlink, and two interline agreements with « Simir", and "Flysafe".
