Yesterday (3rd) at around 6:05 pm, the Nuclear Safety Commission announced that a part of the internal circuit breaker of Kori Unit 2 burned down and the reactor was automatically shut down.



The Kori headquarters said that there was no radiation leakage due to the shutdown of the reactor and soot was found in the circuit breaker.



Kori Unit 2 restarted after regular maintenance and reached 100% output on the first day, but was automatically stopped after three days.



Kori Unit 2, which has been in operation for 40 years, due in April next year, is in the process of applying for permission to change its operation for continued operation.
