Ministers and officials in the UAE, Egypt and Jordan said that there are promising opportunities for the private sector in the Integrated Industrial Partnership Agreement between the UAE, Egypt and Jordan, which focuses on five basic sectors: agriculture, food, fertilizers, pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals, minerals, and textiles.

They pointed out that the UAE has a competitive advantage in a number of sectors such as the petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, aluminum and iron industries, complementary industries and agriculture, all of which are promising sectors in the UAE, pointing out that the trend towards integration and partnership is a necessity in light of the crisis that the world is going through, which is the most difficult since the World War the second.

In detail, the Egyptian Prime Minister, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, said in statements to reporters on the sidelines of signing the partnership agreement, that "the partnership agreement between the UAE, Egypt and Jordan stemmed from the important meeting that brought together the leaders of the three countries last Ramadan," stressing that the trend towards integration and partnership is considered A necessity in light of the crisis that the world is going through, which is the most difficult since World War II, stressing that “the leadership’s directives in the three countries to the executive authorities to quickly develop integrated strategies and plans for the industry as a priority to achieve self-sufficiency in basic and strategic commodities that the peoples of these countries need.”

He indicated that the high prices of commodities and the shortage in them at the level of the countries of the world calls for solidarity and cooperation to fill the shortage.

For her part, Minister of State for Advanced Technology, Sarah Al-Amiri, said that "the industrial partnership between the UAE, Egypt and Jordan is very important to support local industries in the three countries, increase production, expand the geographical scope of trade and industrial exchange, and improve and raise product efficiency in priority sectors."

And she indicated that "the UAE has a competitive advantage in a number of sectors, such as the petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, aluminum and iron industries, complementary industries and agriculture, all of which are promising sectors in the UAE," noting that "the integration of efforts in the region is very important for the advancement of national industries and achieving integration and sufficiency."

In turn, the Minister of Industry and Trade in Egypt, Nevin Gamea, said that “the signing of the industrial partnership was based on many previous negotiations that monitored the comparative advantage of each country, analyze imports and identify existing investment opportunities, and under this partnership, work will be done in an unconventional way to activate it, both at the level of the private sector and projects.” Small and Medium".

And she indicated that "the goal is also to increase trade exchange and exports between the three countries in a way that achieves self-sufficiency."

For his part, the Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation in Egypt, Sayed Marzouk, said that “the field of agriculture has become very important for all countries in light of the growing global tensions, as we seek with the UAE and Jordan to implement many projects that achieve sufficiency in the field of agriculture, such as corn, wheat and other grains, as well as In the field of activities related to fisheries, irrigation, dairy production and livestock.”

And he indicated that "Egypt is witnessing a great agricultural renaissance and reducing the food gap, and in integration with the three countries, and in cooperation with private sector companies, we will be able to achieve self-sufficiency in many sectors."

In turn, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, Omar Al-Suwaidi, said that “the repercussions of the industrial partnership between the UAE, Egypt and Jordan are aimed at the comprehensive development and integration of industries between the three countries, as it was announced that a tripartite committee was formed under the chairmanship of the ministers of industry in the three countries, as well as an executive committee.” Followed by the undersecretaries of the ministries in order to put the plans into direct implementation.

And he indicated that "the implementation will focus on opportunities that can be integrated in the five basic sectors, which are agriculture, food, fertilizers, pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals, minerals and textiles."

He added that "food and drug security and supply chains come at the forefront of the partnership, and the invitation is open to the private sector and partners to take advantage of the opportunities offered by the agreement."
