According to the announcement, last year's financial results of Narita Airport Corporation were that the number of passengers was 6.47 million, which is less than one-sixth of the number of passengers in 2019 before Corona, so sales were 82.9 billion yen and the final profit and loss was 82.9 billion yen. It was a deficit of 52.4 billion yen.



It is the second consecutive term that the financial results have been in the red, following the year before the first deficit since privatization.



On the other hand, the deficit narrowed by about 19 billion yen from the previous fiscal year due to favorable handling of international air cargo and increased air traffic demand during the period when border measures were relaxed.



Akihiko Tamura, president of Narita International Airport Corporation, said at a press conference on the 27th that although aviation demand will gradually recover due to the gradual relaxation of border measures, the impact of the new corona will continue, and the financial results for this year will be 33 billion yen.
