Now more functional, the Volvo Cars application allows Volvo drivers to access more than 270,000 charging stations in Europe while having the possibility of paying the charge from a single gateway.

The Volvo Cars app shows drivers the location of the nearest public charging station and provides real-time information on its availability.

This eliminates the need to use countless different top-up apps and payment systems.

This functionality was made possible by Plugsurfing's Developers Platform and Drive API, which integrates charging information directly into the Volvo Cars app.

After an initial launch in Switzerland and Italy, Volvo Cars will continue to roll out the updated feature to the majority of its European markets by the end of 2022.

Volvo Cars thus affirms its ambition to offer its customers complete and easy access to public charging.

And thanks to the new functionality of the Volvo Cars app, electric Volvo drivers benefit from special rates when charging their vehicle at Ionity stations in Europe.
