After the integrated development of Danzhou and Yangpu, the scope of the implementation of the free trade port policy and stress test will be expanded to more than 3,000 square kilometers.
The "Several Opinions" proposed seven support measures, covering spatial layout, industrial development, and facility construction.
In terms of overall positioning, Hainan has positioned Danzhou Yangpu as a free trade port policy stress test area, an international shipping hub for the new western land-sea passage, a port-based economic leading area and a regional central city for the Hainan Free Trade Port.
The next step will be to actively connect with international high-level economic and trade rules, and combine some key elements of the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) and the Digital Economy Partnership Agreement (DEPA) with the free trade port policy system. In order to speed up the construction of an international shipping hub for the new western land-sea passage, Yangpu will speed up the construction of the "China Yangpu Port" registry port and multi-functional international maritime service base, and accelerate the construction of China's gateway port facing the Pacific and Indian Oceans, an international container hub port, and a port-based country.
