Ford still gives few details about the E-Transit Custom.

He simply specifies that the 100% electric architecture will offer him a range of up to 380 km, that direct current charging will be part of it and that the towing capacity should be substantial.

In addition, ProPower Onboard technology will provide an onboard power source for on-site tools, lighting and equipment.

Earlier this year, Ford announced that by 2024, four new all-electric vehicles will join the two-ton E-Transit van: the Transit Custom and Transit Courier vans, and the Tourneo Custom and Tourneo Courier people carriers.

No rush though: the all-electric E-Transit Custom won't go into production until the second half of 2023.

All variants of the Transit Custom will be built by Ford Otosan – a Ford joint venture in Turkey – at its Kocaeli site, the European Transit manufacturing headquarters and… the future Volkswagen Transporter, which could also use this platform for its electric version. .
