The Beijing Municipal Development and Reform Commission recently announced that it will control the use of plastic products from various aspects, including the ban on the use of non-degradable plastic packaging bags and disposable plastic woven bags at express delivery outlets across the city by the end of 2022.

  In order to implement the "Beijing Plastic Pollution Control Action Plan (2020-2025)", this year, Beijing will focus on deepening the control work from 8 aspects and propose 23 specific measures.

  The main contents include: promoting a batch of recyclable express packaging products that are easy to use, low-cost, green and low-carbon; by the end of 2022, the city's express outlets will prohibit the use of non-degradable plastic packaging bags and disposable plastic woven bags; Integrate express packaging to promote the reduction of packaging sources; promote the recycling of one-time express packaging materials, and explore suitable plastic waste recycling models; by the end of 2022, basically establish government-supported and market-led waste agricultural films, pesticides, and fertilizer packaging. The recycling rate of agricultural plastic film has reached more than 90%; the implementation of plastic pollution control work has been included in the second round of ecological and environmental protection inspections, and the comprehensive law enforcement of ecological and environmental protection has been strengthened.
